MAC headers, air valves burning up???

MAC headers, air valves burning up??? I've heard these are the best bang for the buck headers...also that they burn up the air valves...is this true???? Also I'm not sure about 02 camaros and stock exhaust...mine has a driver side exhaust pipe that is oval shaped(ground clearance) before the exhaust blends together...is this stock???
