What filter do you guys run at the track?

What filter do you guys run at the track? When you guys go to the track do you run a K & N standard filter, foam filter or pantyhose in place of the air filter?

Re: What filter do you guys run at the track? I run a Powershot at the track, I'd rather not risk getting a pebble or something into the motor (esp with FTRA) so I'll pass on running no filter.

Re: What filter do you guys run at the track? FWIW...I dyno'd with:
-Dirty K&N (mine)
-Clean K&N (Buddy's)
-No Filter at all
On all 3 passes the #'s were practically IDENTICAL (.75 hp difference between all 3...and I attribute that to variances in the dyno).
For me, it's just not worth risking running no filter at the track, especially when I saw no gain without it.

Re: What filter do you guys run at the track? A guy i know sucker up a small bolt somehow in his without the filter and and screwed up the whole motor!

Re: What filter do you guys run at the track? With the stock converter my car ran better at the track with a filter in, but after the converter (more rpms) I've see better MPH running without a filter or using the panty hose mod.

Re: What filter do you guys run at the track? if you have a ram air system that sucks the air off the ground, its no way i would run without a filter. But i have a gutted stok sysem so i do it all the time. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
