Default Larry pulley????

I dont know how to explain, but a friend told me about a Larry Pulley?? Its the little small pulley on the top left of our engine. Anyway this one has higher edges to it so the belts dont slip off?

anyone know what im talking about? Does anyone still have them or sell them?

My belt slipped off at the track today and its PITA when that happens <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" />

is there still a waiting period?? I just did a search and saw where some had to wait 2-3weeks??

i never had the prob till after cam mod <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> But from what im reading, the more power you make the easier the belt slips off. Pulleys are all lined up right also so this has to be the prob.

also, whats ASP's site?? I tried a addie, but it didnt come up? is there site down?

If remember correctly, his name is Larry Sample. You should be able to do a search on here to find him. I got in on his first group purchase for this pulley and it works very well. I'm pretty sure it was from ASP too.

Good luck.

You having this problem with a long belt or short belt?
Soon as I put my ASP pulley on i was having the same problem with the belt slipping off.But that was when i tried the short belt.Never a problem with the long belt.

To fix my problem with the short belt I had the belt rubbing on a alternator bolt,so i took that bolt out and it don't slip off anymore.

Also, make sure the belt your using is tight enough.I also had a problem with the short belt being to long and slipping off.I was told I needed a 52" and that wasn't working so i went with a 51".

Thats just a few idea's i had for ya.You might have a different problem,hope it might help though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

its the long belt that slips off. I have never tried the short belt before untill yesterday only because I had to use a friends to get home. Sucks with no power steering drivin these backroads <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

ill probably just keep this short belt for backup in case i need it to get home again. Maybe the other belt was just bad, but i still want the pulley to be safe.

BTW: emailed ASP.. takes 2-3 weeks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

Somebody call my name out?

I can do another group buy but would need orders for 20 before ASP could start work. The price would be $50.00 plus shipping.

You can buy the pulley directly from ASP for about $85.00 plus shipping.

Here is a pic of the pulley: http://www.mustangmods.com/publish/8850//MVC-004S.JPG

I just bought one last week from ASP, and got it Friday, they have a few (2-3) left $65. Thunder apparently has a few also, same price.
