Nevermind... I didn't even think to look at who's selling them. Ones I saw are from SSAutoChrome. Notice how the ad looks exactly like the ones we're all eyeballing.

they are ONLY emission headers.... i think there was confusion earlier in the posts as he was refering to how he didn't want to hook up egr/air ... so in essence you get block off plates

Most headers are enevitable...You have to get the emissions style and either weld or get the block off plates.

BE CAREFUL GUYS ORDERING THESE. this is SS AutoChrome under a different name. they do a lot of cheap tubular stainless turbo headers for different imports and the general concensus is that they are crap. lots of people have them break at the welds. now i know these arent turbo headers but figured i would atleast inform people of their past company history...

if you want more info check out places like www.honda-tech.com or www.dsmtalk.com or places like that and do a search for "SSAC" and just start reading.

I've installed 2 sets of Pacesetters on different year F-bodies and neither of them came close to that square on the block OR the k-member.

You have to think of it like this...turbo headers have a turbo hanging off of them that is rather heavy as long as you don't install these in a bind there will be no stress on any part of the header. And for that matter any brand of header that you put in a bind or hange a 25-35lbs turbo off of with no support will crack or break at the flex point. This is just my common sence telling me this. If you can produce other reasons for broken headers fell free to post them up.

That is NOT the consensus over on www.turboford.org. I have one of their headers that I was going to hang a HY35 off of due to customer feedback, but got sidetracked on this LS1 thing. I now have a set of the SS Autochrome LS1 headers sitting in my living room...guess it is time to see how they do!

Edelbrock LT's don't touch anything, slipped in better than stock manifolds imo.

Yeah, I am going to have to say that my pacesetters slid in with no probs. NO GRINDING, NO CUTTING, NO MOTOR MOVING, just an easy swap. As a matter of fact, my wife slid the drivers side in by herself when I went to get a beer. I came back out and shes under the car like, OK start threadin some bolts. Just my .02 Oh and we did the install on jackstands in the garage
