Can someone please explain how this valve works/does. Just to clarify, it's the valve that sits on the drivers side tied in with some fuel lines running to the injectors. I need to get my car smogged but i keep throwing some evap code, so i'm trying to figure things out. Thanks

As the gasoline evaporates in the tank, the government would rather have it vented into the intake manifold and burned rather than into the atmosphere AFAIK.

Have the code deleted with HP tuners and you should be fine.
