There are a few options if you do want to mod it. You can get MAF ends. You can port/polish it yourself. You could get an aftermarket MAF (pace, slp 85mm, etc).
If you decide to mod it, get a MAFT (mass air flow translator) to adjust your air/fuel ratio because you will run lean.
