Help!!!poly Motor Mount Install??? Im Going To Be Installing Some Poly Motor Mounts...i Took The Clam Shell Is I Think What They Call It Out And How The Hell Do You Take The Old Rubber Mount Out From Inside?? Is There A Trick To This??
You have to drill out the 5 rivets ... the 3 on one side are easy ... and the 2 solid ones on the other end are kind of a bitch. I think you need a 5/8" drill bit (double check on the size though). Then take a torch and heat up the shell where its touching the rubber, then just pry it apart ... theres an adhesive keeping the rubber to the shell, so you just have to heat it up enough to break that down.
Just wait until you try to put the Engine in the mounts.
