Tuned headers?? FLP's, SLP's and Hookers.
SLP Performance Parts has just introduced the first tuned-length, long-tube,
stainless steel header for '98-01 LS1-powered Camaro and Firebird models. Designed to
achieve maximum horsepower and torque from the LS1, SLP claims documented results
showing gains of 41 hp and 58 lb-ft of torque, resulting in 1/2-second reduction in
quarter-mile elapsed times. A 3-inch diameter Y-pipe was specifically-designed for use
with these headers and is included with the purchase. SLP also has additional exhaust
components to complement the performance of the new headers, including high-flow
catalytic converters
I bought them for the finish and quality of parts
and fit. I think you will be hard to find a better
quality part/fit.
The kit have every thing I needed.. to do the
install.
The flp is more expensive.. some say has better
top end, but My time at redline is minimal.
I belive that hookers need coating and you will
have to construct a y-pipe..
