Re: Flowmaster exhaust Flowmaster mufflers are not very efficient, and are known to rob power on our LS1s. This has been proven way too many times unfortunately. I had a Flowmaster muffler (stock replacement) on my Formula when it was brand new and dynoed before/after and had no gains. Lame!

Re: Flowmaster exhaust I put a flowmaster muffler on my 2000 SS a little over a year ago. It is comming off this week as soon as my dynomax resonator gets here. I'm sick of hearing horror stories about how the flowmaster gives no gain or less. I have not dynoed personally but I am willing to take the word of so many people I can not count.
Re: Flowmaster exhaust I guess it depends I use two 1 chamber flowmasters the little ones (offroad) and it is a staight through design but very loud though. Picked up a pretty sizable SOTP meter feeling.
Re: Flowmaster exhaust Smoke_Ford- seeing as I am was dealing with this dilema just recently, I suggest you think of your end result desires. Do you want fast, loud, excellent clearance, economy, quiet etc....Look through the threads and you will see endless bits on different exhaust systems from cat backs to true duals. First though, list your priorities then start checking the pro's vs. con's.
