Re: ARE LONG TUBE HEADERS WORTH IT?
That was my set-up about a month and half ago. SLP LT's/ no cats/ Loudmouth. It's not THAT loud, at least I didn't think so. And it rocks the house at WOT. But about 5% of the time it has a weird truck glass pack sound(not good). But to me it wasn't that loud and it was easily liveable. I have since went to an X-pipe set-up with bullets then dumps, and I am VERY pleased with the way it sounds. If you have any more ?'s feel free to ask me.

hey i got a question, i ordered hooker lt's, and am interested in your clearance wi the dumps. do you have any pics of your exhaust?????
i have always wanted to go to true dual w/ x-pipe, and dumps, but thought clearance would be an issue.
i have eibachs w/ bilsteins, so i am lower than stock, but by no mean sitting on the ground

I have an x pipe and bullets, and I had dumps..had to take them off and route it out the side cuz I guess its illegal here, but if your lowered then you would have a clearance issue im sure, you just have to be carefull

Long tubes and a loudmouth will be VERY VERY loud. I will be putting SLP long tubes on with my GMMG exhaust and I am sure it is going to be quite loud. I haven't been able to hear anyone with a true dual so I'm not sure how they compare. I'd really like to hear someone's setup with a true dual and some chambered sections

A guy in town here has SLPs w/ cats and a Loudmouth and it's really f'ing loud, IMO. Unless you like you're car to be extremely loud, you'll be looking for a new exhaust system.

get longtubes, a y pipe, a stock catback, and a cutout... You can have the best of both worlds. Quiet when its capped and loud when its open.

Re: ARE LONG TUBE HEADERS WORTH IT?
I've heard some that have a really tuned sound and some that are just obnoxious, but they are all loud as sin! Personally I went with a cutout and a more mild sounding(yet extremely high flowing) catback. This really helps. Threw the catback I have a very distinct muscle car sound and everyone loves the tone. Cutout Open... well let's just say one Stang buddy desribed my car as sounding like the apocalypse! That one put a huge smile on my face.
But man sometimes you just don't want the car screaming. That's what makes the cutout such a great toy.
I think the LM and LTs are a mistake. But that's me. If you want constant attention(cops included) then it's a legit setup. if you have a wife/girlfriend, do yourself a favor and go the cutout/mild catback route. You won't regret it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
