Kewl, well I think I'll try one method and if it doesnt work try the other. Now I just gotta decide which plugs to get.

I know when we change the plugs on my uncles 00 SS @ 15kmiles 5 of the 8 plugs were missing the platinum tip part. Stupid stock plugs.

I work at Advance, and we stock tons of them. As a matter of fact, I think I should go get some today. Its bad that on my day off I still can't stay away from that place.

if you've got use of a lift plugs are a breeze got the back three on both sides from under the lift, the first two, from the top, were actually the hardest for my big hands to take out

Is there any tangible benefits to the iridium spark plugs? I had heard of platinum, but never iridium.

Iridium plugs are quoted "8 times stronger than platinum, 6 times harder, and with a melting point 1200 degrees higher" This means that the plug will require less voltage to spark, burns more of the fuel in the cylinder, and can spark at leaner fuel ratios. Also you don't have to change them as much. For more info go to this site: http://www.machv.com/denirsparplu.html

NAPA sells the TR55's to but they list them as 3951. The guy looked at me like I was nuts when I asked him for TR55's. Came home looked them up on the NAPA web site and found the 3951 number and went back. They had 8 of them in stock and were 1.89 each I believe.

Alright, so it's TR55 gapped at .50 for N/A use, TR6 for N20, what about for Supercharger (Procharger) or Turbo (STS, I'm really considering this one)

Mine were gapped to .060 and that is where I left them. My service manual said .060 for non Iridium plugs.

Just get headers, then plug changes are easier than ever. I mean, if you couldn't think of any other reason to get headers. . . .

Take them back and tell him to stop selling his "favorite" product, do some research, and then tell him the NGK's run like champs in these cars. Shame on him for selling Bosch to you, shame on you for not knowing better.
