LS6 Intake Swap part #'s and questions
LS6 Intake Swap part #'s and questions I have the intake to go on my 2000 LS1. What are the part #'s for the block off plates and coolant hose for the 01+ LS6 intake equiped F-bodys?
Could I temperarely block off the EGR where it enters the intake untill I get LS1 edit?
Any other advice before I do this swap next weekend would be appreciated. Thanx.

he's got directions for the swap as well as the part number for the coolant pipe
i know www.performancepartsoutlet.com sells the blockoff plate set for like $20.. but i just looked at their site and its under construction now.
no, i've havent done this swap yet.. i just researched it.. no money for the intake yet. blew it on a nitrous kit..

Re: LS6 Intake Swap part #'s and questions I dont think its an LS6 intake if you got it off of a 01 car, cause stock 01+ cars dont have egr. Check that intake out, if its flat on the bottom then its an LS6 if it isnt and it has a valley type deal for hoses to run under it then its just an LS1 intake, just make sure man.

Re: LS6 Intake Swap part #'s and questions only the later make 01's had the LS6 intake. Its a part number that you can cross reference but i forget it. So again not every 01 has a LS6.. just make sure before you waste the time and money slaping on something that could be the same as the stock one you're taking off
as for blocking the hole.. just make up a little plate outta metal and drill 2 holes... put some sealant around the plate and screw it down with the bolts..
you can be creative and use any method to seal the hole.. you can even weld it shut
