I REALLY like my Bauer racing engines ported TB. Bret is a great guy to work with and his qaulity is second to none. Here is mine

i think the shaner one gives the best gains. or you could just port your own with a dremel.

The BBK 80mm just runs into a 75mm hole so it doesn't give you any gain.

The flow that my throttle bodies give, 825cfm. (flow bench tested) will support any heads/cam car. It will do the job on a big inch motor, but more flow would still be better. I'm workin on that now, but you need a custom intake to use it.

Are there any gains to be seen on cars w/o heads and cam?

I would suggest getting a ported one from one of our sponsors.

Seeing as you probably dont need more cfm from it, it might be a good choice to port/polish yours. Kills all turbulence and it virtually free(compared to like 200-400$) Email me if you need pics of me to explian, I just took 6 hours out of my life messing up on how to do it, so now I know for sure <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

This is bret aka Stroker Ace. I'm on this name because I'm on my fathers computer.....

Anyways, The opening in the LS1/LS6 intakes is for a 75mm throttle body, you can't make it any bigger so there is not point trying to flow a larger throttle body onto a smaller hole. It's alot like the Winston Cup engine w/ a restricor plate, it's just not going to make any power.

A bolt on car will be helped by a ported TB. The thing you have to remeber is that a engine is a air pump, when it get more air it makes more HP. The more mods you have the better the TB will be. Less mods means that it the stock TB restricts you less, but any condistion the better flowing TB will help. When a engine needs X amount of air to make 350hp it needs that air as easily as possible, when it needs 500hp worth of air it needs it more. So it's like headers or a lid, it's one of those mods along the way you need to do to get the most out of the car.

BTW I'm actually working on TB's now and it's 4:00am, I wanna go drag racing on sunday so I gotta get the $hit done now.

Can't tell you. I have had people tell me that pick up .1-.2 at the track and a 1mph or so. I know that I run 108mph and all I have is a ported TB lid and descreened MAF (and of course free mods, EGR & FRA) Hopefully I can run a 12.9 with my street tires tommorrow.

The turnaround time is 2-5 days. I can rush them out if needed, but I really don't like too. I have one right now that has been a PITA the whole process so I am redoing it to make sure it's 100% when I send it out.

I hope that helps.
