You can run one in the intermediate pipe, two in the Y-pipe, or both.
And yes, it'll get rid of %90 of your drone. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

With my MACS I had the dynomax 12" bullets in the Y-Pipe. It cut the MAC drone which occurred from 2000 - 2500 rpm down to only being noticable from 2000 - 2200 rpm and being less bothersome at those rpms.
With my Grots, I have a single dynomax 18" bullet in the I-Pipe, followed by a QTEC. It got completely rid of the drone (which was not as bad the MAC drone) and I do not worry that my cut-out is after the bullet.
Pros & Cons:
I-Pipe: less expensive (only one bullet to buy and install) and no ground clearance issues. May not work with a Sphon style torque arm.
Y-Pipe: Looks like you have cats during a visual inspection. However, I flatten (not badly) my bullets on speed bumps.
