Default Replacing engine mounts...

A couple of questions:

How long does it take to replace engine mounts? Difficulty rating? Does a dealership normally stock these? If so, how much do they cost?

If you can answer this, you're a god.

it depends on how much time you got <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

it can be done but depending on how much clearance there is between the header/k-member/engine will dictate what needs to me moved out of the way. I did mine with the headers in and only lowered the k-member out of the way.

I opted to put in poly motor mounts.

Fireball, where did you get you poly motor mounts from? I know that the LS1 motor mounts from Summit didn't work. Then their other clamshell motor mounts also wouldn't fit the LS1 shells.

I used energy suspension 3.1116. They are TIGHT but they physically can be made to fit in the clamshell <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

once together they seem to hold ok. 2000 miles on mine and no problems <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Yes, you use the same part number on both sides. The drivers side was pretty easy (did it with only removing the alternator), the passengers side is going to be a pain.
