SLP cold air

With the SLP coldair package , am I going to be no longer be using the functional SS hood on my 2000 camaro SS? Does the rubber strip that came with the package go under the front of the lid to block off where the hood would normally feed air so that the air only comes up thru the aluminium air duct? Help.

you are correct. should make more power this way also.
have you cut out the bottom of the filter tray ?

i don't suppose there is a way to modify the lid so that it benefits from the hoods system too?
