Id put them after the Y for the o2's sake, as well as the cooler exhaust extending the life of the e-cutout. If possible, Id put it behind the rear axle - It will still be pretty loud, but if it leaks, it wont bother you as much. Running cutouts on dumped duals is pretty pointless since they wont flow any better. If you run duals over the axles, Id follow suit with teh Y pipe setup. My cutouts are going behind the axle, but before the mufflers on my OTA duals.

I ran mine in the I-pipe. Right by the rear passenger seat. There is even a rubber grommet to allow for wires if you run the electric cutout

My cutout being by the back seat idled louder than my duals. When I first drove my duals i thought "now it sounds like p#$y car" I am using reverse flow glasspacks <sp>. My dual setup doesnt get loud till i get heavy with my foot. But at least now I can hear the cam
