Metco breather question

Metco breather question I have been experiancing high crank case presure. I am just guessing that is the problem becuase after I have driven the car for a day I can lift the hood and see that the dip stick has been pushed out of the tube about a 1/2 inch. Will the Metco breather cure this problem? And what are the downsides to it if any. Any help appreciated.
Re: Metco breather question the metco will definitely stop that from happening. but what you are describing is not normal amount of blow-by .. either your pcv is screwed up or your rings are.
i would do a leakdown/compression test.. you may need that money for something else. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
last time mine did that it was because i was missing part of a piston.

Re: Metco breather question We tore the motor down last month and nothing looked out of the ordinary. Pistons and rings checked out fine. It wasnt until I did the cam and heads that it starting doing this. the cam and heads were done at the same time as the tear down.
