A4 X pipe guys, 2 questions... 1. Does it drone on the inside with not having as much control over the sound like the M6ers have?
2. How can you change this? Are you adjusting shift points or anything like that?

Re: A4 X pipe guys, 2 questions... I have never heard of there being a drone like a lot of cat-backs have. There is some resonation at certain rpms on the inside because of the mufflers being under the back seats. I have a loose converter and experience a little of this. With the stock converter I don't think this will be a problem.
With an aftermarket cam, it will be louder. We're experimenting with different mufflers to find a 'quieter' solution for those who want it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Have you guys tried Sweet Thunder chambered mufflers? I believe that is what i'm going to use. Borla XR1s would probably own them all, but they also would own my wallet. I'm having a cam done at the same time as this X setup so it will for sure be a significant difference. Re: A4 X pipe guys, 2 questions... The next couple of cars we do were going to try the Flo-Pro "Twister" style muffler. Similar to the Moroso twister mufflers. I've heard good things about them and I guess we'll see. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
