Default Custom Exhaust

I'm planning on getting an exhaust system in the next few weeks, I was planning on getting the SLP LM but decided not to with all these people on here saying to get a Dynomouth muffler instead? So I decided a custom exhaust from a local shop will be just as good as some of these high dollar systems. My question is, what is the part number for the dynomouth muffler? Or should I go with a different muffler? What would be a good setup for me anyways? Should I say 'bye-bye cats'? Or just go with a custom cat-back? What size pipes? What about some nice looking tips for a Z28? Any ideas would be great!!!

Get the Dynomax bullet that fits your I-pipe! I had to get the 3" for mine. Make sure you goto a good shop, and tell him to make sure that you get equal flow from each of the tips! My exhaust guy is awesome, and the way he put mine together was unreal! I get equal flow from the tips, and he got out a tape measure and a level to make sure my tips were perfectly centered in the cutouts of the bumper. I will get pics of mine soon, and post them.
Oh, BTW, I paid $125 out the door, parts and labor!!!

I was a little mad that the guy at my shop took 2 hours to do the mod. He was all worried about the exhaust flowing just so out of the tailpipes while I was just in a hurry. I'm glad now that he took his time and did such a good job though. My Dynomouth was $140 including the install.
If you haven't found pics or sound clips, I have some on page 2 of my website.
Good luck
Dave

Btw: The muffler you want is DynoMax part #24222 if you intend to keep your cats. If you want to go with an ORP, then you need part #24219.
