Header Install Problem... Help!!!
So I thought I'd gotten past the hardest part of the install. Got both of the Hooker LTs in place and started to tighten them down; driver side, no problem. Had trouble with the #3 bolt on the passenger side last night, but I figured I'd just tightened them in the wrong order.
Tonight I backed off all the bolts on the passenger side and followed the torque procedures in the LS1.Com Help doc (6-3-1-2-4-5, first pass). Never got past #3, as it was way hard once again; also noticed that it seemed to be going in at a bit of an angle.
What am I doing wrong?? Didn't have any problems when I pulled it out of the OEM manifold.
Somebody please help!!!
TIA.
Carefull your not crossthreading it!!!

Ok, I'm an idiot... what do you mean by crossthreading it, how would I know if I'd done it, and if I had done it, how would I fix it (don't tell me that I'll need to pull the head and have it rethreaded... I don't think I can take that tonight )
I tried lubing it up with some PB's penetrating oil, but no dice. Even with all of the other bolts just started, the #3 will only go in about half way before it get's really hard (didn't break the torque wrench out, but I'm guessing at least 65-70 ft.lbs, which I would think is way too much....)

Basically just dont put it in at an angle. Loosen them up and then you can wiggle it around get it in there straight.

Yeah, that's what I thought, and yup, that's what I'd done.
Finally got them all in and tightened.
Thanks for everyone's help, and sorry for asking such as dumb@ss question... gimme a little break, though... it's late, and I'm tired
