Hooker Cat-back or JUST the muffler?

Hooker Cat-back or JUST the muffler? Folks, I see the Hooker cat-back system sells for under $300 most everywhere. It uses the Hooker Aero Chamber Muffler. I can buy just the muffler for $89 and have it welded in to my factory pipes.
Other than the dual tips, is there any reason I would buy the cat back instead of just the muffler? Would it sound the same, perform the same, etc?

Re: Hooker Cat-back or JUST the muffler? The inlet and outlets are bigger on the muffler that comes with the cat-back (3" inlet, 2.5" outlet)!
I forget what they are on the aero chamber muffler if bought buy itself. But, I do know they are smaller! I WAS thinking of going that route until I found out the inlet/outlets were smaller! I decided the best thing to do was just buy the cat-back.
