Why not just swap in the OR pipes that came with the FLPs and save yourself some time?

You'll gain about 5rwhp I'd say, depending on mods.

Probably will gain some top end power, but It seems the question has to do with loss of low end. I've seen that issue raised several times on these boards and often heard elsewhere that gutting/removal of cats will decrease low end power.

I had Grots/ypipe/cats and last week installed duals with xpipe and no cats. My installer said he lost low end on his Grand National when he removed the cats. I notice no loss of low end and actually, throttle response has improved.

Maybe it depends upon the individual engine and how it's set up.

I just gutted my cats and felt no loss of low end at all! I will warn you though ,the sound difference is a little unusual. very hard to type a description of sound but it sounds very hollow, for lack of a better term. But no loss of power. I have totally stock motor and exhaust. only mods are free egr/ram air and NGK plugs with nitrous.basically motor/trans and exhaust are still factory .

it was kinda late, i should have clarified more

i run off road pipes now. its illegal, i dont want to pay lots of money if a cop decides to be a ***** and see if i have cats

my loss of power is directed towards my ORP vs gutted cats. how much? i heard the car sounds less raspy with cats gutted? which would be another goal of mine.

I GUTTED MY CATS ABOUT 2 MO AGO. I HAVE NO POWER LOSS. THE CAR IS LOUDER, BUT NOT TO RASPY. SOUNDS MUCH STRONGER AT HIGHER RPMS. MUST BUY SIMS ASAP. JEGS HIGH PERFORMANCE WILL HAVE THEM SOON! COST TO BE 76$. VERY SIMPLE TO GUT CATS.
