Flashing SES light and a couple quesitons
I just pulled the intake last night as the shop said they used a heat gun and a level II scanner to diagnose my prolem with the 'buring of o2's'
they said it was an intake leak. So i pulled it and examined everything and infact did have 3 intake ports on the heads that were black/charred.
So i put new gaskets on it and put it back together very carefully and it seated correctly.
I fired it up and it sounded better and ran better.. but that was very short lived, I think that it was only because of the reset to the PCM.
This morning it took about 15 min until it started setting off the above code (granted, that's better than what it was setting off b4)
but non-the-less.. runs like crap. also last time the ses light just stayed on now it's flashing??
I could handle the light if it ran right.. it's surging and sputtering really bad at low throttle and then when you punch it .. it comes to life and sounds better.. but still i have lost a crap load of power.???
i'm about ready to bite the bullet and actually take it to a shop. the one i took it to yesterday was a body shop (re-buffed my paint.. long story)
and just had them run a scanner on it, as i'll i have is autotap.
any ideas on where to go now.??
thanks
Devin.
