Best headers??

Best headers?? Okay, all, here we go again. I currently have a set of SLP headers for my '01 that I have not yet installed... I may have a chance to sell them to a friend of a friend, so my question here is do I sell the SLPs and go with something else or do I hang onto them and install them when I get around to it??
SLP Pros:
- already ceramic coated
- 3" stainless Y-pipe
SLP cons:
- hang low
- PITA to install (not really an issue for me since I'll be doing heads at the same time, and that will open up a LOT of room for the header install)

Re: Best headers?? Its all about what you are planning for the car. SLP are bad for ground clearance, FLP are better for ground clearance and you can switch between cats and ORP but some people have fitment issues with them. Grotts (now QTP) seem to be a favorite around the boards - but I don't know whether they hang low or are real tight fitting.
In reality, I don't think you will see any difference in the different brands as far as performance unless you are running a seriously modded motor - in which case I don't know what would be best.
Its all about your car - do you want to lower it or are you going to be at stock height? Do you want to easily change between ORP and cats? Etc.

Re: Best headers?? ClassicCollector- the plans for the car at this point call for coil-overs on all four corners and perhaps a .75"-1" drop.
On the engine side of things, I am planning on doing a H/C setup (NOT solid roller), and maybe a moderate (100-150) shot. I am with you, though... I think that I would be hard pressed to see more than 5-8 rwhp difference between ALL the different headers out there for these cars.

Re: Best headers?? The ability to run either both, one or no cats with the FLP`s is nice.. I sometimes just had one cat on for a medium sound <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
