Heat Shield For wires?

Heat Shield For wires?

I just put on the <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> Taylor 10.4mm wires... But I didn't put the heat shields back on...The wires can withstand heat of up to 600 degrees...The wires do not touch the exhaust manifold at all <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ...Should I be ok, or should I put them back on?..

As long as they don't touch you will be ok.Ran my MSD's for over a year and they looked like new.

I just put some of the same wires on. I've had 0 problems with them. I did not put the heat shields back on. Mine do not touch my MACs either. In fact, they aren't really even close.
