LM Dynomax resonator replacement

LM Dynomax resonator replacement I just received my 24222 Dynomax bullet from Jeg's I plan on installing it in place of the Loudmouth resonator. Can I weld the mild steel muffler to the 304 stainless pipe with my MIG and hard wire or should I clamp it ??? Really would like to weld if it will hold.
