Ask this in the External Engine section.

The Spyder manifold is made by John Stewart I believe. You should be able to get additional information from this site.

Try contacting Hogan's Racing Manifolds.
www.hogansracingmanifolds.com
I recently talked to Tim Hogan and he says that they have made a number of sheet metal intakes for LS* engines.

Why is it after all of this time we have yet to see a single dyno comparison between any of these manifolds vs a stock LS1 or LS6?????

At present custom intakes really only benefit larger CI high rpm engines. Anything less than a 400ci 7500 rpm engine and I'd definitely go with the LS6.

This is External Engine material, btw...

The only car (BeaSSt) I ever knew of that ran this intake didn't run it for long. They're back to an LS6 intake now.

Darren, sup it's me John.

Contact Tom@ls1speed.com for his comments on their intakes for your application.

For spray they might work. Blowers too.

But for us NA guys we miiiight find that we need a intake with longer and tapered runners to keep the torque up while still also increasing HP.

I have been tracking info on about 5 different intakes.

Ported Holley intakes might work but so far the results I saw from one that was swapped at the track were inconclusive... car did not pick up over a LS6 intake with intake ports that were matched up (Cartek)... Meaning LS6 intake from Cartek did fine and the ported Holley that had a ton of work done to it did not do better.

Rob Raymer was selling his LS-Spyder (may have been a super spyder) for $1500 on Ebay.

Do you think a FI 382 would benefit from a custom intake or should I just go with the LS6?
Engine: 382, Prochager 8 boost, 6800 rev limit.

Thanks

Mr. Stewart died last year. I don't think anyone makes the Sypder or Super Spyder. The two pics below are the same exact intake that the BeaSSt had on it late last/early this year (minus the N20) These pics are from KECHME's new setup!!

You are right he did not make the intake...
and the sheet metals intake is really just for the 400Ci and up motor, motors tuning 7500RPM might see some gains.

You can still get the spyder intakes but there design has been updated too a better design. however you can probaly still get the exact spyder.

As for a LS6 comparason, I will have some posted here soon!!! as soon as Tony gets back with me.

I will show a LS6 intake vs My 2.

laters.
