Suncoast Hood Kit Questions hey guys I have a suncoast ss hood on my z and was wondering if it would be a big improvment to put the air filter kit they make to hood right to the hood. its like 300 bucks that's why I wondered if it would really be a difference.
Looks sweet! That's what I've got on my 2000 T/A. ON the T/A's The airflow takes the most direct route from the outside of the car int the engine. It basically changes its direction twice, horizontal into the hood then changes to a down direction as it passes through the filter then it moves horizontal again into the intake. The outlet of the airbox is between 85mm and 90mm too, I need to double check to be sure though. The filter area is nearly twice that of the regular filter too.
i have a raptor hood on my 99 t/a and it made a noticable difference when i went from the stock airbox to their airbox. when i got the hood, one of the pieces for the suncoast airbox was damaged so i drove around for a couple weeks with the suncoast hood and stock airbox.
