Re: installing a LS6 intake today/HELP/FAST You don't NEED them, but they help. One thing you can do is file down the underside of your intake where the pipe will contact it.
An easy way to do this would be to put a little bit of nail polish or paint on the pipe and gently place the intake back on. This will show all the places where it will contact. They gently and carefully remove this material till it is no longer a problem.

installing a LS6 intake today/HELP/FAST i was told that all i needed was some coolat line.I got the top of the intake off and there are coolat pipes.can i by pass these pipe with rubber hoes or what.
