Re: Is FIPK worth the extra $ over lid? I did better with the FIPK over just a Lid, But if you add the FTRA to the Lid it's better.

I posted in the drag racing section asking for comparos, most said no diff, one guy has done back to back dyno's and no differnece with hood up, but.....he closed the hood and said the FIPK lost like 30hp. No that is insane. I dunno. I've run with Drew778, and we're damn close with mods and all so, if there is power to be had with the lid, look out Andrew. There are also too many people having problems with the latches popping up after running at the track.

I have FIPK for sale.Paid $309 I'll sell for $240 plus shipping.I put mine back to stock and noticed a SOTP difference.I've seen people do several runs switching FIPK and a lid and get similair times.It's a matter of preference.The FIPK has more noticeable intake noise.
Re: Is FIPK worth the extra $ over lid? I have the FIPK with the FRA cut out under it and it works just fine. Track times did not change and it looks much better.

Re: Is FIPK worth the extra $ over lid? If I can get looks and performance from a mod, that's what I'll go for. The FIPK is a much nicer looking mod over the more or less stock lid. I don't doubt the lid will give slightly more (likely unoticeable)gains over the lid. The FIPK gave me increased 60-90 MPH performance and a definite boost in MPG.
