Perfecting the Hooker LTs
Perfecting the Hooker LTs I'm thinking about ordering the non-coated Hookers and welding new O2 bungs on the inside of the collectors as well as just generally cleaning the welds. Then I would send these off to be coated, either locally or through Jet-Hot if I can work out a deal with them. If the bungs are placed on the inside portion of the collectors will O2 extensions be needed? I have a 99 car, so I shouldn't have to fool with the AIR tubes or EGR. Do yall have any imput or suggestions? Thanks
Re: Perfecting the Hooker LTs I've had some real first hand experience with "fixing" up a set of Hooker Jet-Hot coated headers so they could even be installed never mind perfecting.

I wouldn't buy Hookers again due to all the quality issues my set had. The problems have been fixed but it left a very negative impression of Hooker's quality control in my mind. Of course, there are good set of Hookers out there that didn't have the problems my set did.
FLP's are excellent headers and their quality is light years ahead of the stuff I got from Hooker. The worst set of MAC's I've seen were better than my Hookers.
If you just have to have a set of Hookers,
call Brian Tooley at Total Engine Airflow. Tell him Wade said to ask about the set of LS1 Hookers Long Tubes he has for sale. I talked with Brian today and am pretty sure he'll make you a sweet deal on this set.
