Loudmouth is the entire system. Instead of a muffler it has a resonator, which makes it pretty loud ..hence the name. I've had mine for a few months along with the SLP Long tube headers and Ypipe and love the setup. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the sound of my car ... They offer the dual tips or dual/dual tips.

cant go wrong with loudmout however if you plan on doing headers you need to take it into consideration cause if you thinks its loud without headers youll die if you put a set on. IMO

GMMG - not quite as loud as the loudmouth but still plenty loud - although more expensive. Sounds beautiful with headers.

As far as "best" there really isn't a best. Its all about personal taste - what sound you like. All will give you gains - some a little bit more than others, but most are similar as far as gains go.

What kind of sound do you want? Ive heard plenty of different ls1 cars with and with out cats and headers because i used to work a muffler place. Borla puts out a sick sound with the off-road y-pipe, but yet is a completely different sound that the SLP set up. Both are mean but it depends on what kind of sound you want for your car.. tell me what sound your going for and ill give you my opinion on what to get.

1badz,

I'm looking for a nice deep throaty exhaust that is loud enough to get attention when I step on it, but doesn't drown out the radio when cruising. Also, has no rasp or nasty popping sound on reving.

So whatta ya suggest exhaust doc? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I don't think there's anything wrong with the question, 5.0's sound good, they aren't as fast a the LS1 but you have to admit they sound nice. And if you don't like they way they sound, fine it is my opinon. But it was a question for 1badz

Matt,
I am running the SLP Dual/Dual behind FLP's with the off road pipes. I think it sounds awesome, not as loud as Borla or LM but it has a deep throaty tone to it.

I live in Pearland also and you are more than welcome to listen to it.

What are you driving?

CPC Racer,
I'm also looking into getting a catback. Would you mind if I came by sometime to checked yours out? I'm in Pearland too.
Thank,
Tim

I already have the dynatech 1"3/4 headers buti need to get them coated. After i do that i am goign to have to make a decision about what catback i am going to use. I was thinking true dual w/carsound cats and bullet's but it seems that i am going to have some clearance issues, when i plan to lower my car later on, so i might just get the GMMG, wallet dosen't like it when i say that.

I don't understand how going from GMMG to true dual with 3" bullet and high flow cats only yeilds 5hp <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

WildZ28 - I would not get the Flowmaster cat-back. Almost everyone on here that has that exhaust either hates it or has swapped it out for a different exhaust. Do a search on it and you will see what I mean. I have heard that the Hooker cat-back is good. I love my Whisper aggressor. I think Thunder might still sell them.

Later.

The Dynomouth mod sounds awesome.
It's very inexpensive too. Mine was $140 with professional installation.
The idle is very deep, a little on the quiet side. Up to about 3k rpms it is just bass. After 3k it really growls, the intimidation factor goes up quickly with the volume. At WOT it just screams. Music to my ears. The volume is easily controlled with the throttle.
For all kinds of info and links to pics/video of this mod, go to page 2 of my website.
Good luck

By the way, on a little different subject in this thread:
Don't mess with Flowmaster on our cars. The muffler design is totally different than a Mustang because of the crossflow. Flows just don't work well on our cars...
For example:
Flowmasters flow about 350 cfm.
Borla and Hooker around 900 cfm.
Magnaflow right at 1100 cfm.
DynoMax bullets (24219 & 24222) flow over 2200 cfm.
Quite a difference...
Dave

I agree with the others, depends on your taste of sound. There are sound clips all over the net on exhaust systems. DCVtech performance on the sidebar has sound clips of the loudmouth w/ and w/out headers.

Choose wisely!! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
