Does anybody have any dyno results showing that flowmaster exhaust doesn't work well on our cars ? Or , is it a case of word of mouth from one person being passed on as the gospel.Case in point..Go to WWW.LS1 INFO.COM , CLICK ON TOPICS , CLICK ON MODS, CLICK THRU LIST OF MODS TO " ADDING A LITTLE MORE THUNDER ". They do dyno results on ls1 stock =288rwhp . Then they cut out factory catback Dyno =300rwhp . Then they add American Thunder Flowmaster catback Dyno=300rwhp .Check it out.

Re: Which Exhaust System? (Catback) I tend to believe that the cats were the deciding factor if that article is true. The Flowmaster probably flowed more than the cats, therefore kept up nicely. However, flow numbers are solid fact and the Flowmaster 80 flows about 350 cfm... Borla/Hooker in the 900 cfm range and Magnaflow 1100 cfm. Throw a set of LTs and an ORP on a car with Flowmasters and then compare it to a car with a 2200 cfm bullet on it and see where it gets you.
For a stock LS1, I have always said that mufflers and cat-backs of all sorts were more a matter of sound than power... as on a car with cats they are all very close. This article reinforces my opinion in my mind.
