Getting my exhaust installed tomorrow!!!
I was wondering if there is anything I should do after I get it installed. Is there anything I should look for that would be a BAD sign after the install? Anyways, I guess this was more of a question thread than excited rant...BUT I STILL CANT WAIT...NO MORE QUIET LS1!!!! Last edited by Optimus_Prime; May 4, 2006 at 01:24 PM.
To complete your exhaust install: The first thing you must do it take your car to the redline and dump the clutch giving a massive smoky burnout for 100 or so feet.
make sure you listen and enjoy it.

After my GMMG, I was WOT and cruising around in 4th gear at 55 MPH just to hear it. Then downshifting just to release the scream. I think I got like 145-150 miles out of that tank of gas. A far cry for the normal 210 I get. Congrats on the GMMG. Have fun. That's normal...give it a week, she'll be fine. First off, you're used to a certain noise to speed ratio....you're now getting more noise at lower speed, so you think you're going slower. Also, the computer is learning the car again. After some driving it will feel the way it should.
Same thing happened to me when I first got my exhaust put on, then it happened again after putting my cutout in .....this was after headers and cam. Talk about loud! Headers, cam and open cutout will scare anyone sitting next to you at a light.....I love it!
