Parts List / Duals
I want to set it up so I can switch out cats and straight pipes. I'm planning on using 3-hole flanges for that. Sound okay?
Parts:
(1) Set of Jet-Hot Headers
(1) Set of header gaskets
(1) Set of Stage-8 header bolts
(2) Random Tech 3" cats
(2) Sections of replacement straight pipe
(12) 3-hole flanges for straight/cats/header/x-pipe
(12) Bolts/washers/nuts for flanges
(4) Flange gaskets
(1) X-pipe
(2) Mufflers
(2) Turndowns
A few questions...
1. Are the Stage-8 bolts worth it?
2. Any recommendation on gaskets header/flange?
3. Which mufflers...Dynomax, Borla, others?
4. X-pipe...I've 'bout decided on Dr Gas but TR sells a S/S Bassani for around $150-175. Anybody used it? If not, which Dr gas is everybody using?
5. Any parts I missed?
Thanks,
Andy

Are the Dynomax just the Ultraflow 3"in/out round?

That way you will not have to put reducers on the header collectors; but can still get the 2.5" pipe and mufflers up close to the floor for ground clearance!
Sounds like what I want to do, except no cats, and use the 6.25" long FLowmaster 10-Series Delta Force mufflers. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
1. Stage 8s are worth it, but they're not necessary. You can get buy using a regular 'ol bolts.
2. Header gaskets...buy or reuse the stock metal gaskets for the manifolds. They work the best.
3. Dynomax bullets are good mufflers. Thats what I have. I'd suggest the 16" ones.
4. I've got the Dr Gas x-pipe. I went 2.5". I should have gone with a 3". Thats what I'd suggest for you.
5. Hangars

Oh yeah, sense the headers are coated should I use a band clamp there instead or will welding the flange on be okay if I get some spray on ceramic coating for the weld?
Thanks again <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

They're designed as a slip-on but I don't know how big a pain they would be to get back off to swap them out with a straight pipe.
Am I gonna screw the header coating up too bad by welding flanges on???
Any ideas on the best way to make this thing leak proof and still be able to switch between cats and ORPs??? HELP! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
