Default Difference between 98-99 & 01-02 Mac mid length headers?

Hi guys, I may be buying some Mac mids from a friend of mine since he's going long tubes & true duals w/ dumps. The headers he has are on a 99 Forumula, I've got an 02 T/A. What fit up problems might I encounter with these? What are the differences? Thanks guys!

Smog connections should be the only difference. Air tube connections are oriented differently, and the lack of EGR on 01-02s

There are no differences in the MAC headers themselves, the differences that are mentioned are on the car not the headers. There is not a 98-99,01-02 header..... they are one in the same. One MAC LS1 header model only

I bought the mac's for my 02.It is the same header as the 98's up.The only thing I had to do is block off one of the egr hookups on the passenger header I think that was the side.

Ok, the reason I thought there might be a difference was because on Thunder Racing's page, they have different year models listed under different part #'s so maybe there is a small difference in something with the setup.

Actually you will need twisted air tubes for both sides as I just bolted a pair on my 02. see sig

MAC only sells one ver 98-00 with no model(see MACs site below) number for the 01-02s as these cars have no EGR and the air tubes are twisted 90º so they don't actually adverstise on their web page that they sell them for these yrs. You need the retro kits sold at Thunder Racing for proper install on the 01-02s.

The AIR Tubes and blocking off the EGR should be the only difference. Remind me about it tonight and I'll show you the difference. I put 98-99 FLPs on my 01 car and had to do the same stuff.

The egr is in a different location on 98-99, than on the 2000+. The passanger side air tube is 90 degrees different between these years. Since you don't have egr you can block that off, but you will need the 98-99 air tube for the passanger side. I know this because I put 99 headers on my 2000 before they made a 2000 specific header.
