Default ***Need Advice on MODS***

I have a 2001 A4 SS Camaro. The only mods i've done so far are mostly appearance except for an SLP airlid and Holly Powershot air filter. I am considering a Bauer powder coated/ported TB, ported MAF ends, and FLP LTs. Would these be good Mods to do. I've heard some bad things about the MAF ends on automatic cars? any truth? Any suggestions would be appriciated? Thanks

Get a cat-back. TB is expensive and mabe gives you 2-3 rwhp. FLP's are a good choice. You should check out the QTP's though.

I'm new to the board and should create a sig sometime soon. I have the SLP dual-dual catback and a flowmaster muffler.

Don't get ported MAF ends. It can/will create a decrease in line pressure which can result tranny problems. DO descreen your MAF. A ported TB is a good, proven mod. Port it yourself or wait a while to get one. There are other mods you should do initially. You can't go wrong with FLP LT's that's for sure. Like silver02ws6 said, tires and a coverter will be your best mods right off the jump. Make sure you do all the free mods too...

www.installuniversity.com (if you didn't know)

Oh, I forgot to mention...don't get a catback unless you want one for better sound or appearance. You won't gain all that much over your SS exhaust. You could go with a cut out for $35 though.

get a cutout or add a flange so that you can drop the muffler down when you need the extra power.

I didn't really feel a difference when i had it put on. The only reason i did it was to hear a difference. I wasn't really trying to add horsepower as the exhaust already did from the factory. I love the way it sounds and can't wait to hear it with the LTs.
