Emission legal?
Emission legal? If I run Hooker LTs with cats, and a GMMG catback, would this be emission legal? I heard LTs would not pass, but I wouldn't see why not if they have cats? Thanks guys!

Re: Emission legal? What kind of emissions testing do the do in your area? I know in Houston 96+ cars just get the PCM scanned, while 95 and lower have to roller dyno. I know they would not be legal in Cali, due to the fact the move the factory placement of the cats. If its just a sniffer test and you have cats and everything is working correctly, it should pass.

The part that makes the headers illegal is the fact that you have to remove the stock cats. If they do a visual test then you might fail becuase they will obvioulsy be able to tell that you dont have the stock cats on.
You car should sound pretty awsome. I have never heard how the GGMG sounds with headers but it can only get better. I have however heard that the GGMG with long tubes and no cats does not sound good. I think you will be pretty happy with the sound of your exhaust and will have a good rumble. if you already like how your car sounds then I'm pretty sure you will like how it sounds after getting the headers installed, that is of course if you get the cats.
