I hear alot about these grot/qtp headers....where can I see them? What is there websight address?
How low can I go with them on a 98 M6 T/A?? I have WS6 17" rims I want to go as low as possible.
BUT, I dont want to be scrapin my headers all the time......I keep hearing BAD things about SLP headers....what's the major diff?? And how do they compare to Hookers????

Both get them from the same manufacturer. My 1998 T/A was lowered with the G2 Super Springs and there's no way there gonna hit the ground, they fit up in there nice. And my Grot's were just put on 10 days ago, they were bought through Thunder and they are the exact same things that Roger Groty has been selling for so long.

You will bottom out the Grot's only when you are flying like a bat out of hell and suddenly the road takes a quick dip! Other than that one experience I've never had to worry about it since then.

As for the cats issue. If you are running the 3" size cats then dropping them is only going to net you a few HP. When we cut my cats off I was amazed to see straight through them. Compared to stock it's like looking at a screen door instead of dry wall.

I have quite a few pictures of my original style Grot's. I do happen to like the ball flanges better than the slip collectors. That's just my preference, but the Y is a lot more adjustable with the ball flanges. I also don't have the Y that's in the picture any more. We custom fabbed a 3" to 3-1/2" full collector. It's much nicer than the original Grot Y.
