H pipe
Ok, I heard a 2.5in X pipe...it sounded great, but I think I want something a little louder, so I will probably go w/ the H pipe. On a stock internal, bolt on car...should I go 2.5'' H or 3'' H? Does the H sound considerably louder and deeper than the X? I have heard that the H pipe will peak higher (mostly likely since it is a straight back design), but doesn't have as much torque down low ( I have a M6 though)....??? My appt for true duals is in about a week so I have to decide soon

Re: H pipe
The H-pipe setup will be louder with a more "raw" sound that some people like. The X-pipe will be slightly quieter with a more mellow note.
I would go with 2.5" pipe for a stock car...3" with a cam or more...LS1s seem to like the 3" pipe, but you would be sacrificing ground clearance for 1-2 rwhp on a stock car. That's not worth it IMO.
The x-pipe will make much better low end torque and a little better top end hp than the h-pipe.
The only reason to go with the h-pipe is if you just like the sound that much better.
