Complete EGR system removal questions. I'm in the process of removing the complete EGR system from my 99T/A. I have already removed the EGR valve, mounting bracket, piping going to the intake manifold, air tubes on the headers and installed block off plates on the air tubes. Question 1) The air tubes coming off the headers were connected by a plastic tee fitting back by the fire wall, that hose then goes forward to just behind the drivers side headlight to what I believe is the smog air pump, do I just remove the hose and cap off the hose at the pump or should I go ahead and remove the air pump? Question 2) Where can I get a nice EGR block off plate for a Holley intake manifold? TIA,

From what I understand from reading these boards you will get an SES light when you disconnect the EGR wiring harness. I had Ed Wright do EGR delete in my PCM programing when he did the tuning.

Re: Complete EGR system removal questions. you need to get blockoff plates for the egr/air mounting flanges on the headers/manifolds, Email me if you need some.
you can get a drain plug from pep boys that you can screw into the hole in the top of the intake from the egr too.
