Even if it was so, the *math* does not add up to the LM flowing over twice as well. That sounds like an SLP advertisment.

IMO the LoudMouth is the way to go. The resonator is not one of those fiberglass packed type resonators (like some factory v-6s) put a large hollow pipe I haven't seen another exhaust system that size that possibly flow near as much. And far as sound its one of the best (between the Corsa and LM) sounding systems I've heard.

it seems to me that the only reason camaro owners buy the loudmouth is for the SLP name..gotta have SLP products on the 'camaro no matter how sickly the loudmouth sounds . don't get pissed..just MHO

The reason why I bought it was because it was half of the Borla that I use to have on it, and from reading the threads, its the highest flowing catback. I happen to like the tips too. I love the sound, especially when started when the car is cold.

I had Borla and I wanted a change.

I bought the Loudmouth and had it installed. It was louder then the Borla BUT it carried the exhaust tone to the rear of the car more than the Borla.

About a week later I finally got my Borla XR-1 put in place of the resonator and at the same time I had a custom 3" y-pipe built.

Big time difference with the XR-1 in place. No rasp anymore and no gurgleing or backfire's (unless a cold start). The XR-1 made it sooo much more quiet. On low rpm's (with no cats) it's not that loud at all, but hit the throttle and it still screams!

I get compliments from alot of different gear head guys.

If I could not/or would not put the Borla XR-1 in then I would have not put the Loudmouth on.

Peace,
Craig.

well having just ridden in a loudmouth equipped car for the first time i can say the loudmouth is WAY louder on the inside and out than the wide open borla is. the car i was in had an slp y-pipe too but i dont know how much of a difference that makes. it sounds good because loud is good but i think its too much interior noise for me and i like loud stuff. with the borla the exhaust sounds goes out the back, with the loudmouth the sound is on the inside of the car too much.

If you have headers & no cats, actually even with cats, I think the Borla sounds too "thin." Makes the motor sound about half as big as it actually is.
