Shorty headers questions Are the JBA's worth getting? I want to stay Calif legal, so im not gonna do LT's.
How do the JBA's compare to the stock LS1 manifolds?
Can i do an X-Pipe with JBA's?
Does the exhaust sound change with shorties compared to stock manifolds?

Re: Shorty headers questions Since you already have the better 2000-02 stock manifolds, you will gain little or no peak HP with shorties. You will pick up some low end torque due to the 1 5/8" primaries. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
Exhaust tone deepens a bit. I would imagine you could fabricate an X-pipe setup, but don't move your cats if you want to be emissions-legal by the book. <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />
