Re: Remote Start i have a Viper 550 ES,,, its a combo of an alarm and auto start, if to get an autostart, get an alarm at the same time, becuase you will have two key fobs, the alarm is like $400 installed but for certain years, about 100 more as well,,, if your key has a chip or anything on it, you will need to get this little box to be able to start the engine,,, i love my autostart, the setup i have, it came with a romote extender, so it works like 400 feet away or so. i had mine installed at Ciruit City and they were cheap and they know what they were doing

Re: Remote Start Are you able to move the car without the key in the ignition. This morning I coulda used it, let my car warm up for 8 min and I could still see my breath when I got in. Im putting off the thermostat till the summer. This is texas its not supose to be this cold <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

How cold can it be in Texas? It was 6 degrees here this morning with the wind chill factor. Not to mention the 4" of snow in my driveway.

Re: Remote Start how the viper is set up,,, you have to have the key to move the car or it will stop the engine. it only runs for a max of 30 min. and if someone gets in your car and trys to steal it, they press the brake, and the engine stops. its more of a safety feature so someone doesn't steal your car, but i love it, just make sure you have the heat all the way on,,, i have fogotten to turn the heat on and warmed up my car for like 15 min and got out there and it was turned off, but it heated kinda quickly sense the engine was warmed up
