Its reasonably priced and is made with 3" mandrel bent stainless steel andt the tips are polished. Whats the catch? Do people not like the sound?

Naah.. everyone went LM crazy. Because it was cheaper. Many now wish they would have went with something with a muffler.

I see. The loudmouth looked like a good catback but a cut out was cheaper. Im gonna be installing some mufflex off road pipes and am afraid the cut out will be too loud. Im thinking maybe the magnaflow will be the way to go and hopefully make just as much power as a cut out without the noise.

My car is two months old.
I've had the Loudmouth
I had the GMMG for an hour on my car
Now I have the magnaflow muffler and it's the best in my opinion. Much deeper than the LM and GMMG but more quite so you can nicely accelerate without having your head blow up from the noise. I don't like unrefined noise. The magnaflow is a nice deep rumble and very noticable.

I think it is a more popular choice than when I was researching exhaust systems and mufflers earlier this year. I put the muffler on my car this summer and I have enjoyed it, the sound has gotten better recently. I wanted something quiet enough to listen to the radio or talk to somebody else while on the interstate, Magnaflow was the right choice for me.

Tips over 3" are fugly....I hate the 3.5 tips. Also, they aren't as easy to buy as the other systems.

Magnaflow has the best mufflers/cat-backs out there IMO. Great quality and straight through performance - not to mention excellent sound.

I might switch out my bullets on my duals for their Magnapacks.

You pass narrow judgement on a GMMG you had on for an hour ?? WTF ?? LMAO !!
Based on your drescription I doubt it ever happened.
People by Mag-Flo`s cause their cheap and work decent, but are totally ***`ed out within two years, speaking from experience on both issues.

I really like the Magnaflow sound, but I too thought the 3.5" tips were a bit much so I passed on the Magnaflow. It is all personal taste...I didn't care for the big truck sized tips hanging off the back of my car.

I went with an SLP 2OTL exhaust and have been very happy.

While I agree that tips are an important consideration for a catback, if that's the only thing holding you back from a particular system it's pretty easy to change.

And if you like the loud vibrating toneless noise of those exhausts without any mufflers, by all means go for them. But don't be complaining to us when you're 60 that you can't hear your exhaust anymore cuz your deaf and braindead from the vibration.

I have a Magnaflow and it has worked good for me, although I am usually running through the cutout I have too.

But I'm sorry, they are nothing alike. The LM is unrefined, raspy, and high-pitched while the GMMG has a clear(very deep) sound that actually makes the LS1 sound tough(and good). And as for the interior noise issue, the LM does have an annoying/awful drone but the GMMG has hardly any interior noise at all.

It just sounds like you don't like loud exhaust(especially if you removed your GMMG in one hour). But believe me, there is no comparison between those two systems.

As for Magnaflow, waaay too quiet for me. I've heard it before and it was NO deeper than the chambered exhaust I have. And I don't like those fugly tips either. But hey, it is a very good system for the price.

To each their own.

I just installed mine and couldn't be happier with the construction and sound!

ORY-Pipe And MagnaFlow Catback is the Cleanest Sounding Exhaust i've ever Heard. It's Mega Sweet. Quite when crusing but when your accelrating it's MEAN Sounding
