Why the special y pipe.
Why the special y pipe. Will a regular slp y- pipe work with hooker lts? Whats the difference between the slp 2.5" y pipe and the one Thunder Racing sells for hooker LTs.
What I mean is couldnt you just take slp's 2.5" pipe and weld 2.5" extentions to the headers and get the same result, or will they just not fit.

up to the stock exhaust downpipes, and then
there's one that is meant to fit the long
tube headers. The downpipe / header outlets
are in way different places.

Re: Why the special y pipe. there is quite a few inches difference between where the manifolds bolt up to the Y, and where the collectors bolt up. No SLP Y pipe will bolt up to the Hookers, the SLP Y for headers are for the SLP Headers. You'll need to get the hooker ORP, Mufflex Y, or a costom one if you get the hookers.
