It's your ac evaporator line... Goes from the evap to the condenser.

It's called the "liquid line". The freon inside is actually flowing from the condenser (in front of radiator) TO the evaporator (inside the car).

Where it unbolts on the firewall side has a cavity which houses the "orifice tube". It functions as a screen/fiter as well as an expansion valve like device.

Break it during a cam install? Thats what I did to mine duging my 1st cam install . Too lazy to fix it but I looked it up on GM parts direct and it was $35.

Hey I broke that line also when I swapped engines lol....Freon everywhere haha.

Anybody know the part #???

Mine broke recently. Got a replacement from GMPD and installed it before it got hot out. Glad I did

theres a thread dedicated to part numbers in the new ls1 owners I believe. Probley get a quicker response there.

Not exactly. I think that set includes that line, but it also has another, so it costs more.

LS1 AC compressor and condenser hose assembly (98-02) (AC-Delco #15-31009) = 10409630

LS1 AC liquid line (high pressure line to condenser) (98-02) (AC-Delco #15-33164) = 10282758

That line by itself is about $35. The set is about $50.
