No. Unless you take it into a lake or something.

I have always read gains of 15hp at 60mph....but who knows.

I really like mine though, I feel it was a worth while mod.

People drive through rain storms all the time and have dry filters. You can always get a block off plate as well.

I have had mine for over a year now. I have driven thru all weather types with it. Snow, rain, torrential downpours. Never had any problems with hydrolocking it. I did have to clean and flip the filter around alot more.. about once a month or so. Not to mention int he fall, you have to pluck out the leaves from the filter ) I dont know if it'll suck up anything larger than a leaf

I've sadly run over bags, paper and plastic, notebook paper, and who knows what else.. have only found leaves.

Just recently got my Volant CAI installed, and did the !FRA to it so it will take advantage of the ssra as well.

No stories yet as to what I will suck up now ;0

Though at least now I can twist around the filters hehe.

I didn;t debaffle my SLP hood, so thats why I kept my ssra.

I felt a nice increase at higher speeds, too bad the bottom ripped off pulling out of a parking lot.

Be VERY careful. Take your time, no matter how good that subway sandwich looks in the passenger seat.

I agree with that. I totally destroyed my lower piece when I first put it on...I learned since then.

I have that set up for sale right now in FS section if you are interested. And it's the metal SSRA not the plastic one. https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/504807-nos-kit-w-clear-lid-nx-mallory-k-n-ftra-bbk.html

My car isn't lowered. Unsure if the above two guys have lowered cars. I have scraped it a little but nothing that has loosened it. I have worried that man one of these days I might just rip it off, but after a couple months without hassle, I no longer even think of it.
