!FRA causes pinging?

!FRA causes pinging? I saw where someone had posted this on another board, anyone ever hear of this? how much does the IAT increase at idle with this mod? I would think it would actually be even cooler when moving though (atleast 15 mph)? any thoughts on this?

Re: !FRA causes pinging? My IAT actually went down in temp. It shouldn't cause any pinging at all. I have the Fast toys ram air kit also, so its blocking a third of my radiator, and I have no cooling issues in the hot Texas heat, or any pinging.

Re: !FRA causes pinging? There's no need to make a block off for your FRA. I don't think there's been one instance of water on the air filter or hydrolock as a result of the !FRA. There have been some dummies who've driven through a flood, but that's a different story. You'll find plenty of leaves, paper, etc under your filter though.
